Mr. Nair has represented clients in a variety of types of civil litigation, such as breach of contract, licensing disputes, trademark and patent litigation, fraud, statutory consumer fraud, and real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant disputes.

- Represented out-of-state landlord defendant owning property in Illinois in landlord-tenant litigation under the RLTO. Case quickly settled favorably for the client thereby mitigating extensive claimed damages, fees, and costs.
- Representing client in litigation against condo board and property seller for misrepresentation of existence of special assessment and state of reserve fund.
- Represented out-of-state defendant in landlord-tenant dispute. Case settled quickly and favorably for client, the tenant.

- Counsel for plaintiff in consumer fraud, negligence, and breach of contract litigation in federal and state court.

- Settled slander to title and breach of contract case on behalf of homeowner against gutter subcontractor resulting in release of subcontractor’s lien.
- Collected judgment for client in California for breach of contract in Illinois.
- Representing homeowner in consumer fraud and breach of warranty and contract case in Cook County.
Intellectual Property Matters
- Represented plaintiff in patent litigation in Northern District of Illinois. Settled case favorably for client.
- Prosecuted and successfully obtained trademarks for companies and individuals in various classifications.
- Counsel for a client from Hong Kong in cancellation proceeding in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board regarding a trademark successfully registered. Drafted initial pleadings and conducted fact and expert discovery.
- Rendered a legal opinion letter for a website owner on non-infringement of trademarks, copyrights, and other legal issues.
