Mr. Nair has represented clients in a variety of types of civil litigation, such as breach of contract, licensing disputes, trademark and patent litigation, fraud, statutory consumer fraud, and real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant disputes.

He is experienced in many phases of litigation in both state and federal court, ranging from pleadings; dispositive motion practice, including motions to dismiss; fact and expert discovery; and, preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders.

Mr. Nair also has dealt with an assortment of transactional matters, including contract drafting, trademark prosecution, drafting of website terms and conditions and privacy policies, as well as composing other legal agreements.

Additional Background

Mr. Nair has experience in environmental, OSHA, and banking regulatory compliance.  He has clerked for law firms and the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, gaining experience as a defender of corporations and researching how those corporations should comply with Dodd-Frank.  Mr. Nair has worked on various projects related to Clean Air Act issues with Illinois and Indiana coal fired power plants under the direction of Professor Keith Harley.  This included drafting Letters of Intent to Sue, pleadings, discovery, document review, and drafting motions.

He has also assisted in employment and labor litigation in both state and federal courts while clerking for a small litigation boutique.  The litigation varied from Title VII discrimination suits, worker’s compensation actions, and retaliatory discharge claims.

Prior to law school, Mr. Nair graduated from the University of Chicago with Honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Prior to attending law school, he worked for three years in a family-owned import-export company focusing on sustainable, natural food products made in developing nations

Since entering practice on his own, Mr. Nair also serves as Of Counsel for Keener and Associates, P.C., a small general litigation firm that focuses on intellectual property matters and litigation.  There Mr. Nair has experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting discovery, including interrogatories, document production and review as well as depositions; and in conducting trials, both bench and jury in a variety of matters.
